What is Lendasat and how does lending work?

Lendasat is a peer-to-peer lending platform where you provide liquidity to borrowers who use Bitcoin as collateral. As a lender, you earn interest on your stable coins or fiat by providing loans. The platform uses 2-of-3 multisig contracts for secure, trustless interactions.

Which currencies can I lend on Lendasat?

You can lend USDC and USDT across multiple blockchain networks including Polygon, Ethereum, Solana, Starknet, and Liquid Network. Fiat loans are also available and currently in evaluation phase.

How do I set my loan terms?

You have full control over your loan offers. You can specify the interest rate (APR) on an annualized basis, loan amount ranges, duration ranges in months, and the Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio you're comfortable with.

How is the loan secured?

Loans are secured with Bitcoin collateral always worth more than 100% of the loan value. As soon as the Bitcoin value approaches the loan value, the lender will be notified and the borrower can be liquidated. The platform uses 2-of-3 multisig with keys distributed among borrower, lender, and Lendasat for secure operations.

What happens if the borrower repays early?

With Lendasat's fixed-term contracts, you receive the full agreed-upon principal and interest for the entire loan duration, regardless of when the borrower repays. Early repayment doesn't reduce your returns - you're guaranteed the full interest as initially agreed.

What happens if the borrower gets liquidated?

If liquidation occurs, you receive full repayment of principal plus full interest. You can choose to either receive Bitcoin to cover the loan amount, or liquidate the collateral into stablecoin on the originally agreed blockchain network.

How do I receive repayments?

You receive repayment directly from the borrower in the stablecoin and blockchain network agreed at loan start. Lendasat doesn't hold the funds. We offer two repayment options: bullet payments (single transaction for the full amount of principal + interest) or recurring payments over the loan term. A transaction hash is provided for verification of each payment.

What are the fees for lenders?

Borrowers pay a 1.5% origination fee on the loan amount (deducted from collateral upon repayment or liquidation). The platform's fee structure for lenders will be announced as we move toward public launch. All fees are transparent with no hidden charges.
