Virtual Card Experience
How can I try the Virtual Card in closed Beta?
To request a loan using the Virtual Card experience, you need to head to the “Request Loan” category. If you select “Available Offers” category, you won’t be able to claim the principal on a Virtual Card.
Who provides the Virtual Card?
Our partner, Moon is providing the Virtual Cards to the borrowers.
Do I need an ID card to obtain this Virtual Card?
It is not necessary to provide identification documents to receive your Virtual Card when borrowing on Lendasat.
Do I need to create an account on Moon to obtain and use a Virtual Card?
It is not necessary to create an additional account; you can manage both your Virtual Card and your loan directly from your Lendasat borrower interface.
How do Virtual Card work?
Virtual cards are just like regular cards, except there is no physical plastic. By entering virtual card details where you would normally input your credit or debit card details, you can complete purchases without giving out your personal card details.
Can I have more than 1 Virtual Card?
You can now have more than 1 Virtual Card.
Can I top up my Virtual Card?
You can now top up your Virtual Cards with new loans, except if you’re a U.S. citizen.
Can I use the Virtual Card on Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay?
Moon cards do not currently support Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay mobile wallets. (Not yet, but that's coming soon™️)
Where can I shop/pay with the Virtual Card?
You can shop at millions of merchants in over 130 countries.
You may not use the Virtual Card with merchants billing from or located in: Afghanistan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, China, Crimea Region of Ukraine, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Donetsk People’s Republic Region of Ukraine, Ethiopia, Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Luhansk People’s Republic Region of Ukraine, Macedonia, Mali, Moldavia, Monaco, Montenegro, Montserrat, Mozambique, Myanmar / Burma, Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea / Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Panama, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, Zimbabwe.
Are there any restricted merchants or purchase types with the with the Virtual Card?
Certain purchases are prohibited depending on the specific product or service provided. You agree to consult the underlying terms of each product or service prior to use. These prohibited purchases include, but may not be limited to:
- Wires, Money Orders
- Outbound Telemarketing Merchants
- Direct Marketing services
- Security Brokers/Dealers and associated activities
- Dating & Escort Services
- Massage Parlors
- Betting/Casino Gambling
- Foreign Currency, Non-Fiat Currency
- Government Owned Lotteries
- Government Licensed Online Casinos (Online Gambling)
- Government Licensed Horse/Dog Racing
- Horse Racing, Dog Racing and Non-Sport Internet Gaming
- Manual Cash Disbursements
- Automated Cash Disbursements
This list does not represent the entirety of prohibited activity. Moon reserves the right to update and revise terms as it sees fit, and Customers should additionally consult the specific terms of any product or service purchased on Moon for any other restrictions.
In addition, purchases at merchants in certain countries may be prohibited.
Can I use the Virtual Card from anywhere in the world?
The Virtual Card can be used in over 130 countries, but are not available in some restricted regions.
How long is the Virtual Card valid?
Your Virtual Card is valid for three (3) years from the day it is created.
What are the minimums and maximums for the Virtual Card?
- You can spend up to $4,000 USD per month with a Virtual Card (except for U.S. residents).
- U.S. residents can only spend up to $1,000 on a single card, but can spend up to $4,000 per month across all Virtual Cards.
- You can load up to $10,000 in one go on a Virtual Card
- You can top up a card up to $10,000 per day
Are there any fees for the Virtual Card?
The Virtual Card is spendable in over 130 countries and we do not charge any FX fees or foreign transaction fees. There is a 1% fee on all purchases you make with the Virtual Card, with a minimum of $1.00 fee per transaction.
How can I track my Virtual Card activity?
You can track it directly from your Lendasat borrowing interface.
Why was my purchase declined?
Typically, purchases are declined for one of the following reasons:
- Card details are entered incorrectly.
- Insufficient balance (make sure you have enough balance to cover any fees or potential gratuity).
- Merchant does not accept the card.
- Merchant is in a restricted country or is in a restricted merchant category.
- If you’re using a warehouse, freight forwarder or reshipper address the merchant may decline your purchase.
